Why is my Nuget Feed not loading?

Nuget feed is coming back with Error occurred message. The output window says:

[nuget.org] Unable to load the service index for source https://api.nuget.org/v3/index.json.
  An error occurred while sending the request.
  Unable to connect to the remote server
  No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

Answer

There could be a few causes to this but it could be a network related issue (firewall, DNS, etc).

Try fixing the issues with the network or try using a VPN or using a different network (if you have access).

You may have to ask network admin to help with fixing firewall or DNS issues.
